We don't send money, equipment or aid. We send volunteers. |
A gift that changes lives and keeps on growing … Your support for VSO Canada will ensure that the volunteers you help send overseas make a lasting impact on the lives of those we ultimately seek to assist - the men, women and children living in poverty and disadvantage in developing countries. Your donation will help us send skilled, committed volunteers who have the training and support that will enable them to achieve meaningful change.
VSO volunteers share their skills with local people and work with them to achieve goals that benefit their communities. Our volunteers work as part of locally-managed programs, which means that the benefits continue to be realized long after VSO volunteers return home.
When you support VSO today, your gift will help people get the chance for a better life - year after year.

Your support at work:
In Ghana VSO has helped to develop a National Volunteering Program where graduates from the cities of southern Ghana can volunteer to spend a year teaching in northern schools.
VSO has been working with a network of social organizations in Sri Lanka since 2003. Since the tsunami disaster in 2004, VSO volunteers have worked tirelessly to support relief efforts and rebuild lives and livelihoods.
People in Chifwima, Zambia call it the 'Canada Bridge'. They are able to walk to school, or to a health clinic, or take produce to a market thanks to a new community bridge and the work of VSO.
