Bollywood actor calls for better disabled access in India

A Bollywood actor has called for India to become more disabled-friendly, stating that people should be able to move around more freely with improved infrastructure.
Aamir Khan, who recently starred in the film 'Three Idiots', claimed that at the current time, society seems to have little consideration for those with disabilities, the Times of India reported.
The publication quotes him as commenting: "It's necessary. There should be proper infrastructure - be it buildings, theatres, roads - everywhere so that they can too have [...] comfortable access."
He was speaking at the IBN7 Bajaj Allianz Super Idols award, which was held at the Taj Lands End Hotel in Mumbai this week.
Meanwhile, last month the Economic Times of India claimed that businesses in Bangalore are increasingly offering positions to people with disabilities.
This is due to them becoming wise to the talents that they have and are choosing to act on the opportunity to add them to their ranks.
